Surface pretreatment method of gutter cover steel grating

The drainage ditch cover can be treated with either hot-dip galvanization or cold-galvanization techniques. However, for a more durable and corrosion-resistant surface, hot-dip galvanization is the better option. With this treatment, manufacturers can produce anti-skid ditch covers and stainless steel water grates. Nonetheless, the surface pretreatment of the trench cover is essential to prevent leakage plating or exposed iron. Often, during delivery, storage, transportation, and processing, the drainage ditch covers get tainted with paint or petrolatum. Even the flaw detection surface of welding parts may require special grease that is challenging to clean. Unfortunately, most manufacturers overlook the importance of the degreasing process and rely solely on the acid wash to remove surface impurities. This practice can lead to leakage plating, exposing iron on the surface and lowering the product's overall durability.

Another scenario that could lead to issues during the pickling process is when the pickling drain cover is too heavy, resulting in concentrated pickling and dense stacking. When this happens, there is a risk of under-pickling and wire clipping. Furthermore, if the pickling concentration is too high, acid salt can build up on the surface or in the groove, leading to leakage plating and virtual plating if not properly washed with water. Aging and failure of the solvent can also cause problems, as well as a failure to open the cover plate of the drainage channel during the drying process. It is crucial to address these factors to ensure a successful pickling process.

Secondary micro-oxidation and acidic iron salt formation can occur on steel surfaces if they are not dried promptly, leading to increased risk of leakage plating. This is particularly common in areas with high humidity or fog, and is often overlooked. To avoid this issue, it is important to ensure that steel surfaces are dried thoroughly and promptly after cleaning or treatment to prevent the formation of harmful substances that can compromise the quality and integrity of the steel. By taking proactive steps to address these concerns, it is possible to maintain the highest standards of performance and reliability in industrial and construction applications.
